Introduction to the Orthodox Faith

2 comments:

  1. I am interested in becoming an Orthodox Christian. I was raised as a Protestant but left because of spiritual reasons. I have flirted with Roman Catholicism, but have recently been introduced to the Orthodox Church by the book by Archbishop Timothy (Callistos) Ware and I have been sporadically attending services at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater, FL. Is it tough to make the transistion?

A: It all depends on your attachment to a western phronema. And of the degree of your indoctrination as a protestant. While for many it is a brand new world, others find the reassuring timelessness of Orthodox Worship a pleasant change to the regularity of attacks of the worship-fidgets in the West. And this covers both Rome & Protestantism.
